And So It Begins
Java Log on the fire, luminous arctic/antarctic critters out front. Thanksgiving must be over. We haven’t started the Reindeer Room soundtrack yet, but we’re close. Very close.

As Lina is so fond of saying, “Hiya”. See Lina’s Page for an update on our Lina Day activities. Stephanie has also updated her page with a post on this special day.

I know we haven’t posted in a while, but I think you’ll forgive us when you see these…

Shane spent a good part of his “vacation” making a lovely little gravel patio on which I am to grow herbs and olives. The herbs are small, the olives are few, but the patio is here to stay. I love it. After I decide how I’m going to arrange things on it, I’ll post some more pics. But for now, here are some “process” photos. I feel it’s especially important for Lina to realize that projects like this take time, energy, and planning. That the patio didn’t magically appear. That sometimes, you need to work for what you want. Or else just have your husband do it.

Thank you, sweetie. It’s perfect.
So far so good! I think they’re even starting to look alike.
