Last year at this time we were anxiously (nervously, excitedly, impatiently) anticipating meeting Lina. We were packing and planning, worrying and waiting. Before our travel plans were set, we had hoped we’d get to meet her in time to dress her up as some kind of farm animal or (Stephanie’s preference) colorful organic produce on Halloween. [...]
