Done!

All our paperwork is now done. Today we finished the last step of the adoption process besides actually bringing Lina home. We got Lina’s visa to enter the United States. As a group, we all swore (for our children) to do something like uphold the laws of the United States, be loyal, etc. (frankly I can’t remember exactly).

As soon as Lina sets foot on US soil, she’s an American citizen. That will happen 11/29.

Tomorrow, we head for Hangzhou and the rest of the families head home. It was very sad to say goodbye to our new friends and fellow adoptive parents. It’s hard to believe we only met these folks two weeks ago; we’ve made some (literally) fast friends and we’re already planning reunions.

Congratulations to all our fellow travellers on this long and winding road, with whom we’ve shared these important moments!

Congratulations! How nice that the remainder of your stay will be filled with activities totally of your own choice. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your journey with us…we get a rush every day when we check into your site. And seeing Lucy’s again was fun; such happy memories, such mediocre food:)

Enjoy the next phase of your stay in China.
